"For the first time in about 20 years, I'm not on a diet!"
Julie's lifelong battle with fad diets began in the second grade. Over the years she'd have some success, but the weight always seemed to creep back... and working out was downright dangerous. "The trainer I was using would make me run up and down stairs and do lots of lunges. My knee actually began popping out of joint! He told me that it wasn't strong enough, and his solution was to do more of the same. My body was hurting all the time." After hearing about a friend's success with Greyhound Fitness, she decided to give it a try. Why Greyhound Fitness worked for her: "I was extremely skeptical, but after I started noticing results I was hooked. The Greyhound Fitness workout is motivational but there's no drill sergeant, and that works well for me." How she's keeping it off: "My weight is the lowest and most stable it's ever been in my adult life. Greyhound Fitness taught me that food control is about moderation and not deprivation. That's been a huge change in my life! It's so nice to go out to dinner and know that if I really want bread, I can have it and everything will be okay!" She loves her new look: "I've lost in the ballpark of 8 or 10 pounds, but people always think I've lost a lot more. I dropped one size and my shape is more proportional now, which results in a very slimming effect!" On her choice to move forward: "I realize now that I'll have this body for a long time, and even if I haven't achieved my ultimate goal two months from now, that two months is still going to pass by. I'll either be progressing or regressing, because fitness is a constant journey."
